Japan’s Masaki Kano will return to the World Touring Car Championship for his home race on October 23rd. The 35-year old will race under the DeTeam KK Motorsport banner for Engstler Motorsport at the event.
Kano has raced in the previous three season of the WTCC, making his debut in Japan for the team in 2008. Since his debut the Japanese racer has made seven starts in eight appearances, each at the wheel of a BMW 320 prepared by the German team. However he has yet to score a point in the series.
The car to be driven by Kano is the one previously used this season by Marchy Lee Ying Kip and David Sigacev.
